It seems to me that as an adult in a reasonably professional environment, that I shouldn't have to be explaining to other adults that bullying, isolating and berating a coworker is not just shitty, it's illegal. at what point does someone look down at their clearly miniscule gentalia and decide that because of their inadequacies, they must make a constant effort to belittle...

Poor girl wasn't much past 30, came home to see her family for vacation this week and has some sort of fatal seizure (or that's what we've heard from her family).

For the longest time we shared our obsession with Cuban food, high octane coffee, sending each other wildly inappropriate memes & videos while at work and her teaching me the fine...

I'm so sorry about your friend. Hope you're doing okay, and have people to talk to and help support you.

Came as a huge shock, but I'm fine. It has gotten a bunch of us together that haven't seen each other in a long time...and she'd have approved of that (and the ensuing shenanigans) so we're hoping to make the best of it.

Ok. So for the first time in 20 years I've overdrawn my bank account and am absolutely crushed. I'm driving around my boy in a car that's not really safe--especially in winter. It needs a good $1000 to get all the safety issues addressed. I considered a gofundme and got looking at people who have it way worse than I do. Kinda...

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the states, happy Thursday to those of you outside the states (hang in there...it's almost the weekend!) and general "Hi!" to my new followers.

I've decided this year to make a giant pot of coquitos to accompany dinner. They're essentially a Puerto Rican eggnog (more coconut and less egg in mine). I figure they're not...

😌 New Zealand sounds nice
shaneq:
Btw NZ is gorgeous and home to possibly the world's coolest people. During one of the big quakes, one of my friends was more worried about not going to work than the fact half the city fell down. Priorities, I guess! Having survived dozens of quakes and aftershocks and a freakin' tornado, christchurch still feels like my second home :)

Your bones and joints make so much noise when you move other people complain.

the cute girl at work gives you her phone number (completely unsolicited, mind you)...but then you find out you had a crush on her mother in high school.

You get distracted twice in the same room, put your drink down to do something else and lose your drink...both times...

So a little brown bat found its way into the house Wednesday night. So after he got up too high into the rafters to catch, I gave up and slept on the couch.

Finally gave up the next night, opened a window to let the critter out and, after some research, played bat noises to encourage him to get find the window.

Came back and

Stuck at work...on a Monday...on what's usually my day off...on my birthday waiting for contractors to finish whatever the hell they're doing. They were supposed to have been done three hours ago--I've been to the gym and back, screwed around on Snapchat, bought shit I don't need on Amazon, did some actual work, fixed two PS3 controllers...did...

So here I am, fresh back from another arctic adventure and living in a house that's not MY house. I seem to be having a case of "domestic reassignment" & am currently camping out in a crazy timber-frame room at my parents...a weird feeling when you're in your 40's. But good news is, I'm happier than I've been in...

I got to spontaneously spend the weekend with one of my oldest and best friends. Someone who's never found me too poor, too dirty (I'm a mechanic, not hygienically challenged), or too 'country.' Someone who's loved me and been remarkably patient over 15 years. We've weathered relationships, marriages, some pretty big lifestyle changes, and pretty much have remained inseparable throughout. She...
