I walked outside last night, and it was kinda chilly. It's been getting lighter in the morning a lot later now...
FALL IS COMING!!!
That means AMAZING leaves on the trees, walking through the woods and listening to that cool crunching sound, crickets chirping, jumping in giant leaf piles and being able to wear my hoodies and long sleeve shirts without dying of dehydration.
I plan on taking pictures of the leaves with my digital camera, so I can post them for people who haven't seen a New England Autumn. They are one of a kind, and we New Englanders take them for granted.
Many of us say "Oh, it happens every year, it's no big deal."
I didn't think it was either, until I stopped and actually looked at the trees, and noticed how beautiful they were.
And when I started working in an Inn, and people would plan trips to come to Connecticut JUST to see the leaves.
People take a lot of things for granted. I read a quote that said
"Beautiful snowflakes, they don't fall anywhere else."
That made me think...
If you see a snow flake fall...
even if it melts,
it was a one of a kind thing. A beautiful, unique thing that only you got to see.
That is amazing. To think that I have seen things that NO ONE ELSE will ever see.
It's a good feeling. A special feeling.
The chain of events that has occured lately has gotten me a little down. It seemed like all I had planned and hoped for had crumbled right before my eyes. It was like building a huge sandcastle on the beach and watching a single wave destroy it.
But I will not let it get me down.
The black bowling shirt that doesn't fit me, is now my brother's birthday present. He will like it.
The Tai Chi DVD works at home, but not in my computer, so I will either copy it to a VHS, practice at home, or purchase a better one.
I bid on other bowling shirts, that are a big bigger, so that they will fit.
The only thing left is that girl (her name is Jaime), and I will find out Saturday when we go on our date.
I don't want to give up on Zephyer. I do honestly love the girl to death...
but, if it is not meant to be, then it is not meant to be. Only time will tell.
Perhaps it is meant to be, but I am just not ready for it at this moment, and the forces that control the universe want me to learn more before it happens.
Who knows?
Keeping my mind in a state of "mushin" (like water) helps. If the mind flows like water, and does not hold one thought for too long, things are easier to deal with.
The mind must constantly change to adapt to it's current surroundings and events.
As I stated yesterday, third shift gives me much time to think. It's a blessing and a curse all in one.
