This will most likely be my last blog post as my account expires next month and I cannot justify the $48/year with the community being what it is now.

After reading some of the threads in the CE boards and groups, I am really sad to see what this place has become. I now understand why so many aren't renewing their memberships.

Anyhow, I wish you the best.

I hear ya. I'm probably about done myself. I originally came here because of a friend who thought she wanted to join, but ended up not wanting to. Been here a couple of years anyway, but...life moves on. My sub has a while to go yet, but I don't think anything's gonna change between now and then.

Cool, it's starting to actually feel like spring - finally!

So update, we recently switched apartments in our building. It splits at the front door. It has one side for our living area and the other side is a studio. It was built in 1909 and has hardwood floors throughout. Before we moved furniture in, we were totally thinking "roller derby" but...yeah. We really...

Winterizing.

OK, so lots of changes. I moved from Liberty Lake, WA to the downtown Spokane area.

Now, from a snooty point of view, this was a "downgrade." I can see where some would consider that a downgrade. To me, it was a bit more freedom.

Freedom from the financial difficulties of spending more money to live in an area that I couldn't really...

After dealing with some situations arising from personal experiences this past week, I felt it necessary to write this...

Dear judgmental person,

I know you well. I have been you most of my life - no matter how much I want to deny it. I sometimes find myself slipping back into that person at times but am thankful that I either catch myself, or one of...

Moving.

Well, we made the "smart" decision to overlap out places for two weeks - meaning we're in two locations at once. The idea was to give us plenty of time so we wouldn't get pressed at the end.

My biggest concern is my fish tanks. One's a reef tank and the other is a seahorse tank (which is down to just one...

It was good to get to finally meet you at the Suishi night! We had a ball with all you Spokane SG'ers...just wish we didn't all have tattoo appointments the next morning, kind of put a damper on the whole drinking thing knowing that I was going to be sitting in the tattoo chair for four hours the next day!! My daughter thought you were a hoot! biggrin

Holy crap I need to update more frequently. I just haven't had a tremendous amount of time to dedicate towards SG (or anything online) lately.

Some of the stuff that has made SG less attractive - is the increase in negativity towards others. It's getting pretty fuckin' brutal. Now, I'm totally down for joking at the expense of myself and others smile , but it...

Nice to hear from you! I can understand how you feel about tropical vacations, it's always sad for me to leave to come home to what's left of a usually harsh winter. I had a week of -30 degree weather after leaving +28 C in Maui, but then spring arrived and it's been "ok" since then.

I'll bet that where I live is even more conservative and less tolerant than Eastern Washington. Here, you can't even have a strip club downtown, and even the one and only one hidden away in our industrial area can't serve alcohol. I don't know how they stay in business.

Things are well with me. I've been busy shooting, both for pay and for pleasure.....and I hope this summer I'll get to do more of the pleasure shooting. biggrin biggrin

Hope all is well with you.

ARGH!

Winter is a'comin'. I'm not looking forward to this at all. This will be my third winter in Eastern WA and I am pretty much over the whole "lost in the 50's" mentally of Spokane.

The racism, the lack of open-mindedness, the general stupidity of people here is taking its toll.

That's not to say we don't have some...

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY.

So a lot has happened since the trade show in Vegas. We used to focus on retailing clothing and costumes to dancers but found that many manufacturers don't consider two very important factors:

1) Not every girl (dancer) fits in a "One Size" costume.
2) Most of the garments aren't easy to take off and put on.

So now we...

Thanks for the level headed responses in the Nana set threads. As disgusting as her set was, I find the witch burners far more so. Glad you were able to counter them with a reasonable and moderate POV.

VEGAS - the final frontier.

OK, my girlfriend and I are going to Vegas for a week (leaving in about 20 minutes). We have a trade show to attend then we will continue driving to CA to hang out with friends and family. We are expecting to be back in shitty ol' Washington around the 27th.

I haven't been to Vegas since 2001 and I...

PAY IT FORWARD

We've all seen the movie. We all thought it was a great idea. How come nobody is putting it into practice? Why is it that whenever a good deed is done, we expect something in return such as an expected return favor, money, or bragging rights to hang over that person's head?

I know this doesn't always apply but...

Yeah...Michigan finally had the bottom drop out of the economy and I simply couldn't take another summer or "seasonal" work only to be broke, scrimping and without healthcare for another winter. So...I came out here. My dad's retired from VW and does Cosmetic Restoration of houses (remodeling them into his uber German masterpieces). So now I'm working with him, learning a few skills, job hunting, networking (never had to FORMALLY do that shiiiiit before) and saving some cash in case I have to pay for the career move out of Michigan...which I love...and yet loathe with every frozen, pink-slipped, down-sized, outsourced bone in my body biggrin

And if I gotta live with the rents for a few weeks...Laguna ain't too shabby of a place to be, that's for sure. Though knowing just how much it'd really cost to live out here....OUCH I'd for SURE need some new work. How's Spokane? Until you win PCH's 10 million dollars (which you won't, cause my aunt in Jersey got a letter saying she's a FINALIST), what do you do...and are they hiring?! tongue

whatever no, really...are they? biggrin

ps...what the shit IS GOING ON WITH SG?!?! It's loading like drunken dyslexic 2 year-old with ADD and Alzheimer's.
