Yeah... Two words, man... Burning Man. There's nothing like it in the world - more amazing music and visuals and insert unmentionables here... than you can shake a stick at. Seriously, get a ticket, grab some stuff, and just go.

Yeah, tix are like $250 at this point. And you bring everything you'll need. Camping gear, food, drugs, clothes, and 2 gallons of water a day. But once you get there, there is no commerce. Gift economy and bartering, the clubs and the live bands and the performances and everything is all free... and open bar... and people are generous with each other...

If you have the camping gear or can borrow it, it winds up being a pretty cheap weeklong vacation. And the art, music, and experience are unmatched anywhere.
