Everyone told me college would be hard.
They spend four years scaring the crap out of you, telling you that when you get to college life won't be so easy, oh no, college will make high school look like a picnic, so you will do that 40 page senior thesis and you will keep up with the two hours of busy work you have each night for each of your seven pointless classes, and you will like it... dammit.
Now I am here. I have three classes, and that is considered an average load. I have 4 out of 7 days with no classes at all, and one 9 o clock on friday. The next assignment in my "hardest" class is a four page opinion paper, double spaced, due in 3 weeks. I have so much free time on my hands I'm thinking about buying the sims 2.
On one hand, I want to go back and beat the shit out of everyone who tried to make me feel like a 2.5 gpa was a one way ticket to living in a van down by the river, on the other hand, what a pleasant suprise...

Universities are not just establishments that provide an environment for "higher learning", sadly they are also big business. You pay for an opportunity to get a better job in the future.
