How it is difficult for us nowadays, to think that formerly, western people used to go and watch Black people in pens, giving candies to the youngest of them, pleased to be born in the right side of the fence, destroying their dignity by our insistant look..

Bless you for this! You're so right. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who hates circuses so it's nice to  know I'm not alone. They're not just in bad taste but they're also stupid and uninteresting.
