I knew a couple of SGs and hopefuls quite a few years before I arrived - and my being here was originally a gift from a lovely friend of mine (who, sadly, died not long thereafter)... but I stayed because of the community and - of course - the many lovely models and members. plus it's a great way for me to keep my mind, imagination, and creativity ongoing with my postings and getting ideas via others' posts.
