The Coping Train

Do you ever feel like your feelings are going to eat up all of your insides? Sometimes feelings are so bad that they're physically painful. I'm like the little engine that could, I think I can get over this, I think I can, I think I can. But it's so hard to get up and over that hill.

What do you guys

just join a class or follow the programs that you could likely find on your cable television's menu somewhere.  therapy is fine but it's basically a waste of time in my view.  if you are intelligent at all therapy will basically be ineffective.  therapy offers generic modes and paradigms for fitting it.  but fitting generically is unsatisfying.  find a community, or people who urge you to challenge yourself, while at the same time respecting you.  a yoga class could be a great place to start with this.  the internet is actually also a good place to mesh with people who share similar interests who may not necessarily be right there within your already entrenched social circle.   emotion pertains to the structure of the body and its dynamic adequation to it's being in an environment.  structure doesnt determine being-human, especially when wielding the force of Reason which is capable of functional re-articulations of structures.  to make this point less abstract, consider one who has the narrative of fear as something that "propels them to avoid confrontations or threats", compared to one who has the narrative of fear as something that "signals their chance to rise to a challenge which must be overcome".  while emotion seems to have a particular content as an experience, apart from physiological effects, they do not.  it is a matter of being condition to articulate a certain narratives and modes of thinking deploying certain concepts that conjoin to the physiology of the emotion and tinge it with a certain signification.  these signification are never fixed despite however deeply entrenched they may be.  the main point is the conversion of risk or fear or remembrance of loss into the articulation of possibility or of how you can become better.  the problem with anxiety is two fold.  it strangles you in the loop of feedback of an oscillation between was is lost in the past and what from the past will recur within the future.  anxiety can be paralyzing unless you short circuit.  number 1: the past is literally just a specter.  number 2: your memory of yourself from the past is also a specter.  the difference between ghosts and spirits is the following one: a ghost is haunted by spectrality as what is lost to temporal becoming.  spirit is the seizing of spectrality towards the possibility of becoming what one is not.  good luck.

I think the idea of doing a physical activity is the best. It really helps you to cope with your problems. That was at least what I was doing until a couple of weeks ago while dealing with some personal problems. Lately my situation became so overwhelming that I started smoking but that's probably a bad idea.

Oh Hi, I'm The Birthday Girl!

Hey guys!

So I'm taking a short break from setting up for my birthday party to write this. We've got two kinds of cupcakes, s'mores, and jello shots. Jolly Rancher flavored jello shots, at that! I'm really excited, I haven't thrown a party in ages and ages. Hopefully all will go well. Eek!

Hope all is well with all of...

So, I was bad, and missed the last themed blog >.< Bad Selahh! But I've got this week covered!

I found out about SG my Sophomore year in high school from this super punk girl in my photo class. She was a babe and I had a little bit of a crush on her, but she was a senior, so, ya know, never gonna happen...

So I don't have a valentine anymore...wow. Excuse my while I drink a ridiculous amount of alcohol. And order pizza. And probably buy shoes. And make a new amazon wishlist.

I don't have the best coping skills, it's true. Hope you all are having a much better day.

I think valentine's day is more a day for us to spoil ya'll, so anything you think might be fun to do for him would be awesome. Maybe bake something tasty to share? If I had a valentine I'd just be happy to be spending time together and probably be a little stressed about coming up with something fitting myself.

Go simple ....Dinner and a movie.....nice doesn't have to be super fancy. It's the time spent not the money or places visited.

I find myself going into groups and reading threads, but then never contributing. I love reading these things, but I can never find anything worthwhile to say. I just lurk.

In other news, I had a shoot today. The photos probably won't be amazing, but I'll show you some when I get them. :) I get so excited to share these things with you.

Hey guys, sorry I've been a bit out of touch lately-- I'm shit at New Years resolutions and overall consistency. Oops!

To sum the last week and a half up, well...It's been stressful, and hectic, and completely fantastic. I've got loads of work I haven't done and have got to do tomorrow. But it's okay, because a super...

Hey all!

I'm currently on my way back to Florida from Indiana, and I couldn't be more relieved. Just spent a week either snowed in or trying not to wreck the car on icy roads. I am ready for some sunshine!

Another reason I am glad to be out of the cold is that I really have a hard time caring about my...
