This blog is a little late...but I felt it was worth going back

You can get lonesome - being that busy.

- Isabel Lennart

Workaholics are lonely people. Our work is like a jealous lover. It demands more and more of us. We see ourselves becoming progressively isolated from those who are important to us. We schedule lunches two weeks in advance so that we can...

Loneliness sucks. No matter how it happens.

Toxic ideas-about "a woman's place"; about father knowing best. About the doctor always being right. About drugs and surgery being your only medical options. As you can see, these, if used unneccessarily, can be very dangerous to a person's physical and emotional health.

- Christine Northrup

How much time are we willing to give to our physical and emotional health? Often, we expect our...

I'm strongly in favor of taking care of yourself. I do want to suggest walking away from cleanses however, which I think you will find are nonsense if you investigate carefully. (Late night TV infomercials notwithstanding!)

We cannot have a world where everyone is a victim. "I'm this way because my father made me this way. I'm this way because my husband made me this way." Yes, we are indeed formed by traumas that happen to us. But you must take charge, you must take over, you are responsible.

Life ought to be a struggle of desire toward adventure whose nobility will fertilize the soul.

Love this picture. One of my favorites.

The clouds gathered together, stood still and watched the river scuttle around the forrest floor, crash headlong into haunches of hills with no notion of where it was going, until exhausted, ill and grieving, it slowed to a stop just twenty leagues short of the sea.

So true. Even if it sometimes doesnt feel like like consolation it's better to try or take a shot and fail than doing nothing and spend a lifetime of regret. Keep strong!

Don't be afraid your life will end: be afraid that it will never begin.

- Grace Hansen

So often our focus upon death and the possibility of dying is an escape from our real fear....that of living our lives. We have become comfortable with a way of life that is actually a slow death. Our constant working, busyness, taking care of others, and rushing

One of the gifts of life is the changing of the weather and the seasons. As we relinquish some of our illusions of control, we realize that each change of the weather and each season of the year have many gifts in store for us, if we participate in them and live...

Cool ... words of wisdom. Well said. I believe the only important thing in life is what you can bring with you when you die ... your life experience. And that is so important to keep an open mind to as one delves into the realm of wisdom.
