What are some things you do (or do for yourself) that keep you feeling good?
(You can answer this question too)
I eat lots of veggies. It makes me feel awesome.
I also like to walk everywhere, and I try to find time to do lots of yoga/pilates. Keeps me calm.
I should find more time to do more intense cardio. Either need a gym membership or a man whose libido can match mine Regularly breaking a sweat makes my moods really stable (although, quite frankly, I'm not very moody to begin with).
Painting and drawing help me express things I can't in words. It also gives me an excuse to blare music and get lost in it, to ignore my phone and the internet and my homework and the clutter on the kitchen table...
Writing (poetry, prose, songs, short stories) helps me clear out space in my brain... I am in dire need of space in my brain. '
Everyday, I try to find little things that make the world beautiful. I really love looking down the long city streets, checking out the skyline, the traffic, the light reflecting off the cars, the buildings bathed in the autumn sunsets.
I really love October. I like the colors: the gray-blue sky, the green-to-red gradient on the trees, the orange and yellow leaves on the sidewalks, the pumpkins (!!), the cool air.
Tonight, I am going to finish my compte rendu critique on Prsent, the play I saw for one of my French Lit classes... I had never been to a play in French before, but it was a good experience actually. Montral is such a thriving artistic/cultural center, that is weird sometimes to feel limited to the english language theater/music/whatever here. I always feel much more in tune with the pulse of the city when I do things outside of my bubble. All too often, I forget to take advantage of what this city has to offer. I've gotta do better!
