Hey peeps! Hey @missy @rambo @lyxzen! I really enjoyed pouring beer for the Fort Rock Festival in Florida this year. All the bands and event staff were on their A game and the event ran pretty smoothly and on time! I got to meet SG member @1itsme1

and of course my main man @pk1980fl was right there with me, slinging cocktails and beer. This was

In the past I came across some posts on Facebook or Instagram where people complained about getting their tattoo copied, and I felt at the time they were being a little dramatic about it. I must admit my opinion somewhat changed when the other day someone made me notice that ...

Obviously around the world there are going to be similar, if not the same tattoos.

My first tattoo was a swallow off of the damn show flashes on the wall, I'm pretty sure 100,000,000 people have a blue swallow, even more so on their foot. But I don't think that's the kind of copying were talking about here. My first tattoo was rushed, I knew what I wanted but I didn't make it personal. I don't really have any other traditional tattoos besides the heart on my back and even that was drawn up in front of me. ALL of my other tattoos I took weeks to sketch up, then had my artist RE-sketch it up in their style, and if I were to see someone with that exact tattoo, the one that I drew to have redrawn, I'd have some angry words for both the theif and the artist.

I'm not the best with titles, especially titles of artwork, so I'll relate it to the only painting I can think of the name of at the moment, it would be like someone repainting the Mona Lisa exactly the same & calling it their artwork or property. You didn't paint it & you didn't buy the original photo.

howlite:

@lunara I loved that example so much, you said it perfectly. People wouldn't do that to a painting, so don't do it to peoples body artwork ๐Ÿ‘

Inventing new cocktails is one of the great joys in life. This thread is for innovators and visionaries. No judgments, just sharing your own private recipes and picking up new ones. I'll try to taste test as many of them as I can.

I'll start us: the Oxford ...

Splash of sweet and sour

it is a tall shot

crharrison:

My personal favorite that I drink when I get sick.

Start with a shot glass.

Add .50 oz of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey (or any other honey whiskey will be fine)

Add .50 oz of Spiced Rum (Captain Morgan or Sailor Jerry, etc.)

Top with either orange juice or pineapple juice.

I call it. . .The Cough Drop

Clear your calendars, friends! ;)

electriceye22:

@lyxzen I saw there are tickets for the glass house show as well and that would be better for me as it would be less drive time. Still have to see if it will work out.

Great choices !

I think Morgan Freeman said that when taking about homophobia, and it sums up how I feel about bigotry in general. I live in the South, the bigotry and ignorance capital of the world, and i could write a book about this kind of shit, from my childhood on up to this week. I wish people would get the fuck out of other people's...

This makes me cry. My heart goes out to this beautiful woman.ย

I grew up in South Georgia (Just spittin' distance south of Columbus as a matter of fact) in a town called Albany. ย I saw my fair share of hatred, bigotry and utter foolishness. ย I was fortunate to have a mom who cared enough to teach me how to treat ALL people with respect and kindness. ย As an adult I have not only taken those lessons to heart but have developed them into a personal philosophy I would like to share with all of you here: ย "I see people first. Everything else is a distant second. Sure, these labels we use are a part of what makes us who we are but first, and foremost, we are human beings. ย People deserve to be treated with respect and simple kindness. See the person, not the label and life becomes a much nicer place." ย  To this lovely young woman all I can say is stand strong. ย Not everyone is as small minded as these people. ย

First off I would like to say I will start this with things I've encountered this week and in general. I haven't ever really posted things like this on here because im very opinionated but with that being said I love you try and understand why people think the way they do and say the things they say.

Most recently I had a

โ€œThere is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.โ€ (Asimov). The only disagreement I have it this quote is that it applies to several countries as well (mine included - Brazil).

Hi my dear followers and @rambo @missy @lyxzen!

I'd like to tell you a little bit about a soundtrack of my life...

Well, the soundtrack of my life... It is very difficult to choose one because I am a music lover and I listen to many different songs and styles of music. But there is the only one song which I can surely call...
