On being overworked and under appreciated.
and what I want to do about it.
I am tired of working for company's that do not give a damn about the employees. I recently left one of my 2 jobs for this reason. This amusement park is going out of business, but wont admit it. And they dont understand what the problem is. But I do. They do not treat the employees very well, so the employees do not treat the guests very well. It's pretty simple. They dont take care of equipment or the property, they dont do anything to improve guest satisfaction and there is nothing 'original' about the atmosphere. at all. Every single thing you ride or buy or eat or drink, you ride, buy, eat, or drink about 1000000000000 other places in the world. I think it takes originallity and trusting your employees, and RESPECTING your employees to actually succeed. A company that only makes money is a poor company.
I am tired of working for other people. I love my current job. It pretty much rocks, They respect the employees, they get things done. Theres some pretty damn cool benefits too. but at the end of the day I stilll work for a company out to get money. They just know the right way to do it.
I think i want to open a pizza place or coffee shop or something of the likes. something where people (including employees) can be them selves. and where everyone can express themselves. But I am not sure exactly how to do it....
I need help. Anyone at all know where I should start?I guess first I should decide EXACTLY what I want....I know the environment I want, I know I want to help people. I want to have a place people can come to any hour of the night and know they can talk to someone if they need it, hang out if they need it, eat if they want to, paint or play music or read poetry or take some pictures. fill that empty hole in their heart, even if its just for a minute.
well I am off to work...
