Arbitrary Blog Post!
Wrote a short story after reading Catch-22 again. I still can't get "Help the bombardier--I'm the bombardier, I'm alright" out of my head (remembering Alan Arkin saying it in the movie). Of course, the short story ended up being a lot like Catch-22... or at least an imitation of it. I did the same thing after reading Less Than Zero and Kafka on the Shore. I'd imagine that writing in different authors' styles helps develop your writing... probably. I also started one about a direct-sales job I had that I was pretty sure was a cult (in my version at least).
Still arguing with people about Occupy Philly. They're down to about 10 die-hards. I really wish it stuck to being about wall-street greed, but... this is probably the low-point in my opinion of the radical left, which I had previously considered myself a part of.... whatever, fuck all y'all anarchist occupiers, i'm going to eat a sandwich.
