I'm a touch bemused by the "surprised" people express about the utter absence of privacy from Facebook which I have tried to explain before. But I learned some more about the use of the data and yeah, okay, I get it. You are shocked. The upside of course is that with all the shocking revelations about your life that have been shared for profit margins and advertising targeting the egotistical American expectations of entitlement might not be entirely our fault or the fault of our parents or the fault of the millennial generation. Entitlement might be a natural response to inviting people to join a social network which wants to pander your own likes back to you. What other impacts can we expect. What other impacts like the one above might be overstated...
I don't know. But it's weird.
