Okay, pride is definitely an issue here. But come on, I think I'm justified here. My friend and I used to hang out all the time, until he got together with his boyfriend. Now he spends all day everyday with the boyfriend and his friends, and only hangs out with me after midnight when he can smoke cigarettes without the boyfriend finding out he still smokes. So i get to hear him talk about the movies they go see with their new best friend Daniel (I've not only been replaced, but I've been replaced by some asshole with my name... they don't even have to learn a new name for christ's sake!), the fun they have playing airsoft with the guy, the parties/bars they go to, etc. None of which am I ever invited to by the way. I feel like a dirty little secret here man. He still hangs out, we're still friends, but we never hang out until midnight or later. It's beginning to make me resentful of my friend.
So earlier this week I get a text inviting me out to play Black Ops II today with them and this new Daniel I've never met but already hate. They invited me because their fourth sucks and they wanted me to replace her. I didn't commit, and today I get this text. "Tell him it'll be fun... He never leaves the house and plays games anyways by himself...Plus we need another player to make six people."
1. Fuck you for making that assumption about me. I never leave the house? I'm that big a loser to you? But god damn it I can't get too mad at the prick because my friend loves him, blah blah blah...
2. Thank you so very much for adding that it's only because you need someone else to play, not cause you want me there.
Of course, when I responded to the offer with a thanks but no thanks because of the attitude that comes out of that text, he immediately came to the boyfriend's defense and is making it seem like I'm being unreasonable. God damn it, this is exactly why I hate people. And let's face it, in the end even friends are still people. I seriously hate people...
Sorry about the long post if you got through it.
