basically, she's shifting within the building and with the new offices everyone will be in the same area in high-walled cubes rather than sharing multiple doored offices
"my" office is in the warehouse and will still technically exist, but it will no longer be utilized as an office ( it'll end up directly next to the area the neighbours will soon have rather than in the middle ).
...should be interesting, as it's a weekend with my spawnlings - so they'll have to be at work with me at least that Saturday :)
my youngest is kind of excited to see where I work, my eldest didn't give anything more than a "meh" *laughs*
they'll be here in a couple hours for the long weekend, so maybe I'll see if their reactions have changed, but I doubt it
Jacqueline, my eldest, is pretty much "meh" everything lately - she's only 11, but she's already taken on more than a few "teenage mannerisms"
Clio, my youngest, is still the 9yr old "cozy-up kid" - except when she's angry and goes into full diva mode
Oi! amazing how different these two are !! absolutely nothing in common except driving their mothre and myself crazy ;)
the timing of the move at work has become a little crazier as in the past couple weeks two employees put in their time...
one relatively new replacement for someone who left a couple months ago already left a week ago, which confused the hells out of everyone *shrugs*
my own officemate, who'd been here a year, has her last day the end of next week as she got a 'better deal' at her other job, taking on a management position with better pay, so kudos to her for that opportunity
just makes it interesting - about a month ago we took on someone new to take on a lot of backburner things that employees, including myself, had become backed-up on - so now she took one other items as well
this week we took on another to partially replace my officemate and take on other things
so it's a transition period in offices themselves as well as workplace positions...
myself I'll be maintaining my normal duties but have already re-taken on some things that my officemate had taken off my plate
*whew* so gonna be crazy-busy and it's possible I may keep the items that I had given away this past year *sighs*
...won't kill me, as I've done it before, but it does mean the timeline on things are tighter
but at the same time people have to keep in mind that things will be a little slower with new employees and position changes and employee losses
we've gone through transitions before, including when I first took on my position - which took people awhile to get used to
( had to laugh with the GM this week, as people still continue to come to me for projects/info that I haven't had a hand in for years now...
ANYways - my eldest is calling me to see about going to a big park this morning when they arrive ( with their mothre driving us there/back ) *smiles*
Farethee well for now!!

8/28 :
"If You Leave Me Now" - the first song I ever remember crying to, so very long ago... still a song that can make me cry nearly every time I hear it, if not only from the few memories I have of that time in my life...
8/31 :

8/31 II :
well - the neighbours downstairs that I called PD twice on for noise now have a new home with bars - one for drugs - violating their lease

"I love the low 50s, you?"
I will set you on fire for warmth, don't think that I won't...
9/2 II :
"So, you're an anti-immigration proponent racist bigot!"
no, I'm an anti-illegal proponent: immigrants are welcome, criminals will never be
