on the next Gastronomicon, we'll see what tasty treats can be summoned up with guest host Kannibal Klark...
will he survive to be our first ever return host on the show where the food often bites back?
followed by that dimensional favourite, Cooking With Cthulhu, serving up a succulent Shoggoth seasoned with some well-preserved Yuggoth fungi and served upon a plasticine half-polyp spread...
tune in and see what other delights will be dug up from that lone tomb in the darkest of the hillside thickets!
...
returned not long ago from a nigh-5mile walk, after having worked a little over half-a-day today to get closer to caught up on workload...
still behind, but closer to caught up than I was earlier this week
( and I sought out/volunteered to work today in order to get this much closer, so nothing to bitch about in the least )
so we end the workweek with 55+ hrs in - and after aforementioned nigh-5mile walk, a little soreness in these bones
...I did pick up three pairs of jeans at a store nearby, to replace the no-longer work-friendly shrunk-a-bit jeans
and, oddly enough, the heading-back-to-the-apartment part of the walk my mind was inundated with Lovecraftian thoughts
( including that which I titled this posting and the beginning of this post with :) )
...I did my best to quell the Lovecraftian mentality when purchasing the aforementioned jeans, but only got as well as "thank thee" and silent nods
so... now to relax for the rest of the weekend and revel in my continued half-deafness...
well...
potentially relax after doing laundry, which I'm behind on (and out of clean work clothes and underwear)...
and getting my checkbook caught up (I normally track my spending as I spend, but the entirety of April is currently receipts and paystubs)...
and cleaning up the apartment just a little (I did zero cleaning this week, only added to the mess)...
and a myriad of other things I could do - but honestly don't feel much like doing (and probably won't do after I finish the prior things to do).
and the half-deafness is by no means anything to revel in but merely be annoyed by... still...
the sickness quelled itself by Friday morning, so I was pushing through feeling ill most of the workweek but got through it
and, aye, I am still hoping it will clear itself as not a one of the home-remedies I've tried helped one iota
( and I know that due to my severely s-curved ear canals most "normal" ways of clearing the earwax buildup won't work on me )
ANYways... enjoy what remains of the weekend, my lovelies and gentlefolk!
