I'm beginning to think I'm the most boring person alive...
hear stories from co-workers and others of what they did the other day/last weekend/last week... even last month... and the crazy shiite that happened.
all of my stories are from a decade or two decades ago.
I do admit, however, that most of my stories involve people that've died since or the story ended in someone getting majorly hurt (usually myself, no surprise)!
ok, maybe - just maybe - it's a good thing that I don't have any recent stories?
on a side note, this also leads into the fact that I can count the friends I've known for years that are within 100 miles on one hand.
one @$$hat earlier this week's b.s. comments about how I have no real friends led to my posting of "because I've only seen/heard a few friends more than once this decade, I don't really have friends? dude, I haven't seen some in decades!"
and I had no less than a few friends add on their buck-and-a-half in the matter, too, on how it doesn't matter if it's been decades since I've seen 'em, we're still friends.
yes, this means I don't get out much - well, at all, really.
yes, I don't have a significant other (though this shouldn't surprise anyone knowing my dating history - or lack thereof).
yes, work is not only my living but also the only social life I have.
*shrugs*
what can I say - beyond my daughters and the few friends I see once a year (or couple years), my life IS work.
and I don't even work like I used to (though I can't, actually - as the more hours I work, the more I'd have to pay to state/county... which means the less I'd have to pay bills or buy food with)
ANYways...
other than work and the occasions I have my girls, I listen to music, watch DVDs/netflix/hulu, and when the weather is decent and my body feels up for it I take multi-hour walks.
I actually walked for 2 1/2hrs after work mid-week this week... AFTER coming home from the bank which I walked to after work.
*whew* boy did I feel that - first long walk since early fall... Oi!
weirdly I've been pretty exhausted this week, too - falling asleep by 8:30 or so all week.
tonight I've only actually stayed up in order to write this (though I did nap after work, I admit)
...and have every intent to crash hard-and-fast afterwards - even on my bed this time... which is rare (don't think I slept in my bed since January?)
so... hopefully this boring interlude into the boring life of this boring individual hasn't made any of you fall asleep.
until my next posting, sorry for not being a more interesting human being ;)
