And Then There Was Neil... : The 40 Week 30 Round Up/Update [T40W30RU/U +1]

Neil isn't 'That Guy,' but rather one of 'Those Guys.'

You know the ones - that cross between FarmboyPrep and Douchecanoe that is usually found in the Farmhouse Frat (NDSU, for example).
The type of guy who'd push his way to the front of the line to f*ck some guy he doesn't know's willing girlfriend because "it's not like the guy is here and even if he finds out I won't tell her my real name and he's probably some geeky smart guy anyways and she's not pretty but she's a willing whore," etc. etc.
Besides, when her roommate accused him and a couple of the guys of rape, the university didn't do a thing because she'd been drinking and possibly slipped drugs so couldn't be sure who he was.
He's the ass that jokes he's "got the same name as that guy on TV, but I'm not gay," followed by a laugh that sounds like a chicken is being choked to death followed by a grunt/cough.
Unfortunately, he's also the one that'll end up in a high paying job where he doesn't actually have to do anything - whether it's due to his rich father/uncle giving him a job in their company/on their corporate "farm" or because his then-girlfriend's father does the same (even after he dumps her, he's now her father's best friend).
He'll end up having 3 kids, possibly from the same woman, married to either a former-stripper or model, yet doesn't know the difference between "angel" and "angle" and his children have inherited his below-50 IQ... and, if his children are boys, will follow precisely in his footsteps becoming the next generation of 'Those Guys.'

One can only hope he'll be hit from behind by a truck at a railroad crossing with an oncoming train, which will crush his car and drag his sorry corpse along the rails for a good mile until it's unrecognizable from a squirrel-pancake.

And, on that note, have yourself a wonderful week!

31 Days Of January ::
18: share something that no one knows about you
* I find the unusual more interesting and beautiful than everyday "beauty"
( example : I think someone with translucent skin, where you could see the play of musculature beneath, would be absolutely gorgeous! )

19: favourite sound and why
* music... there's a song out there for every feeling, for every emotion, for every possibility - could there be anything more wonderful?

20: something that you are thankful for (thing, not someone)
* technology - while I'm still pretty "lo-tech" compared to most my age and younger, access to media and communication would be little-to-none without a little bit o'tech in my life.

21: favourite game to play
* tough to answer, since I seldom play games...
The Game Of Life is enjoyable to play, even if it's only with my girls
ChartWars is the only "videogame" I play even semi-regularly on my computer
RPGs I miss playing, though admittedly it's been decades and the groups I used to RP with are long, long defunct

22: your real life super power
* Confusion Via (Mis)Communication
...from keeping it simple to overexplaining, I don't know if it's the terms I use differently or just the way that I type like I think, but over 75% of the time people don't know or understand what I'm talking about.

23: tag 5 people that you would want with you if you were stranded on a desert island, and list only 3 things that you would have
* Ken, Sir William, Quentin, Danielle, Kveen with a trailer full of non-perishables, a solar-powered generator, and swiss army knives
this was a tough one - trying to figure out whose skills would come in handy :)

24: song that makes you feel sad
* there are a lot of songs that fit this category, for a lot of different reasons - but one that's brought up memories lately is "Surrender" (Trixter)

25: movie that makes you cry (because it is so good, so bad, or so sad)
* "The Bridge To Terabithia" - when you don't know what's coming, there's one moment in particular that's a complete and heartbreaking shock

26: favourite food (pics welcome)
* I'm very much a food-of-the-moment person - bacon, pasta, flavoured rice, breadsticks... and others rack amongst my favourites (at the right time)

27: describe your favourite color without using the name of the color or any of its shades
* Spiñal Tap's Smell The Glove

28: do something new today, share what it was
* unless re-wearing a henley since I couldn't find a clean one counts, I'll have to get back to this one when the weather is warmer...

29: share a goal you have for the new year
* I don't do the "new year resolution" thing, let alone "plan-ahead" - will "catch back up and pay bills on time again" count?

30: favourite smell and what it reminds you of
* lavender - not sure what it reminds me of, but my body... reacts... to the scent
if I know there's the possibility that I'll be out and about and someone is wearing lavender, I'll burn lavender incense for a few days to get used to it (again)

31: advice/message you would give someone 1000 years from now that sums up your life experiences
* Willpower is your strongest, most important asset, hone it!
with it you can...
withstand up to the most serious and constant pain without medication
survive even the most impossible, life-threatening accidents and tragedies
face all but the strongest-willed and skilled opponents, no matter your physical strength
the belief that you can and WILL do/survive something is the strongest belief you can have
