I left the house to pick up some meds at the closest walmart, 15 miles away.
On the way back, I hear a loud rattle for a few seconds, then loud exhaust and a dragging sound.
If that muffler was turned the opposite way, that's what it was. I drove a few miles, then decided to turn around and get it fixed at the walmart garage.
I make it there, but it's not a full garage, and they can't do mufflers.
They recommend VIP, so I drag my muffler there. Sure, they can do it! Tomorrow. Well, crap, that doesn't get me home.
So screw it, I'll just drag it the 15 miles to my hometown garage, and hope they aren't closed and have some time to do it.
I make it there without cops or incident, with dragging muffler still attached. And before they close and leave. Guy pulls my car in, checks it out, orders part that I need, and temporarily fixes it until they can do it right.
Small town values at it's best. Not even a charge for what has been done so far.
