Hi there Folks!
.
A little story from my past and a good friend of mine.
I was stationary for 1 year in Syria for a UN peacekeeper mission on the Golan Heights, 2011 - 12.
I was a Communication Center Operator for the Austrian Army, in the 2nd Company.
And someday I have found a little turtle on his back in the middle of our base at the parking lot, after my shift was over.
That lucky little guy. I have seen him at the right time, because our heavy water supply truck arrived 2min later at our base and
Jeffrey would be dead if I didn't found him.
.
So the last 8 months, I was on the mission, I took care of that little guy and he has conquered my heart :)
He was smaller than my pinky finger *____*
I have gave him the name Jeffrey, because down there, I have seen the movie "Get Him to the Greek" to much xDDD
.
Here some pics of Jeffrey: :D
His first steps in his new territory! I have taken a small blue bowl and filled it with earth, stones and some tussock.
His daily lunch, some salad and other vegetables.
His territory with a small pool :) (at the right the tree bark, filled with dry grass, was his safe house)
The little conquerer of the mountains! Sometimes he made some base jumps from up there, don't know why. :/
Jeffrey sleeping on my chest *____* <3 the cutest thing I have ever seen. A turtle sleeping on me!!!
.
During the day I have set the blue bowl outside, so he could get some fresh air and natural sunlight.
He made the 8 months with him, to one of the best things I had down there in Syria.
Everybody liked him and he was well known on our Company.
.
But the sad story is I had to leave him back in Syria :/
.
But he will always be in my heart :)
.
So boys and girls!
Thanks for your attention, wish you all the best folks :)
I hope you enjoyed the pics of my little friend.
