For this weeks blog homework, they have asked us to share our favorite childhood reads! I will first admit that reading was never something I enjoyed until after I left high school! And even now, reading is not usually first on my list of things to do on a rainy day. I consider myself more the artsy type, I guess! I'm usually drawing or doing something crafty :P Growing up, a book would really have to grab my attention for me to even consider reading it. Let alone finish it! I was the girl who rented the movies instead of reading the book in English class. I'm not sure if it was because I was always told to read and I had an issue with authority (go figure.. ha :p) or maybe I just thought I was to "cool for school". So on that note, I will share with you the first book I ever read on my own when I was 5 years old! Go, Dog, Go by P. D. Eastman. Obviously a children's book, its written in a similar style to Dr. Seuss. Every page has a rhyme and if you cut out all the pictures, your left with about a page worth of actual words :p At the time it was my favorite book, my grandparents would read it to me all the time. I still have a copy somewhere in my house! So yeah, theres a little fun fact for ya :) Not exactly what they asked for, but close enough. Thanks for reading :p
