Every heavily inked individual remembers that moment when the passion and obsession for the art crested like dawn breaking over the brain. When the seed of wonder sprouted and dug its ostensible roots so deep into the psyche that there was no turning back from what would inevitably become a life-long devotion to the craft.
It has been more than a decade now since my seed, Tim Biedron and his devine images have graced my eyes. Somehow our paths were not destined to cross until now (as artist and client), but I have always relished the thought of being one of his many canvases.
Pioneer tattoo, private and hidden, in Chicagos Northwest side is a true reflection of its owners Biedron and the equally talented Harlan Thompson. Open, bright, demure and littered with inspiration, it is slowly becoming a quite midwestern mecca for tattooings most wanted talents.
Tim himself is an enigma. He doesnt keep tabs on the industry, nor does he care to devour any sort of gossip that ekes in through his door. He works diligently and with such powerful purpose that you almost miss the sound of a traditional coil machine over his rotary.
If Mr. Biedron where a surgeon, you wouldnt hire him for his bedside manor, but one could be damn sure that the work he does is nothing short of resplendent.
This daily obsession and I are only through the first session of my chest piece and already I find my mind running away with the high hopes that it wont just be a tattoo that Tims actualizing, but an icon.
