WWWooooooooooowwwww. Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter weekend! Mine was great. Had dinner with my grandparents and ran into an old friend. Haven't seen or heard from him in almost 5 years and he's living right behind my grandparents. What a surprise! I went herping. I only found some American Toads, Leopard Frogs, and a Green Frog. I was only out for a few minutes though. I'll have to go out a bunch this week and try to find some salamanders and maybe some frogs that are rare or undiscovered here. That would be really sweet. It's too bad if you find something that hasn't been discovered yet you have to take it as proof. But that's how professions in Biology and stuff work. Nobody will believe you if you don't put it in a jar. Sad but has to be done.
I got out biking now too!! I still need to take my bike in for a spring tune-up but I've gone out to do some short 20km runs and hill repeats. I'll try to ease my way into it this year. I'm going to try for 500km per week by May. Last year I was biking for 2 weeks and was coerced into a 300km 1-day fundraiser. It was brutal but I did it! I set my goal at 10 hrs and I pedaled in at 9 hours and 50 minutes. I pulled my i-t band halfway trying to keep up with the lead group. oops. I don't like quitting.
whew. I guess I really needed to spill a bit today.
This week in class I'm finishing up the Reptiles and Amphibians course and starting/finishing a restricted/non-restricted firearms course. It should be fun to see some of my classmates handle rifles. Some of them are very against the use of firearms so there'll be some funny moments.
Well I gotta go study my stuffs.
