Remember Remember the 5th of November....

I am in Kiev. I like it here. I think I'll stay a while.

My flight to Frankfurt leaves here at 4:20... I have 8 hours there then off to Perm. I am almost finished with last minute crap. I have no idea how long it will be until I get to an internet connection again... Let the insanity of travel begin.

I got the gig in Perm, Russia. I have been playing visa games. I expect to be in route by the 20th.... damn. I am packing like a fiend. Get down to 2 checked bags (50lbs each), a carry on, and a laptop case.... I am staring at my belongings and wishing many of them were smaller and lighter.

I've been back in the USA for 8 months and am still unemployed after sending out over a 1000 resumes and applications. I think I am heading over seas again to teach English. I am looking at a six month contract in Russia. It should be interesting.

What happened, and why I am back in the USA.

I finally had the nasal splints removed. I'll add a picture or two of them soon. The fact that they as big as they are and were crammed back in head as far as they are is somewhat amazing.

The surgery was on Friday and it was brutal. I got local anesthesia, it wore off once and wasn't hitting the right nerves another time. The doctor removed three nasal polyps, a cyst, and some of the small bones that separated my sinus cavities. I am off to the surgery. Hopefully I will be able to breath better after they fix my deviated septum and remove a bunch of nasal polyps. Wee big fun a weekend stuck in a hospital room in Korealand.

I finally got to an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. I was informed the I do have a deviated septum and that the deviation is large enough to need surgery, especially when combined with the Nasal Polyps that block that the side that is more open due to the deviation. I will be having surgery and then spending two more days in a Korean hospital....
