My Roommate
My roommate is an alcoholic. If you have ever known or lived with an alcoholic you can sympathize with my living situation. He goes on periodic drinking binges - the last one lasted three days - in which his behavior gets obnoxious and out of control. When he emerges from his binges he has little memory of what transpired. As he is on all kinds of medicines for his disability this can not be a good thing. With his obesity, his drinking, and his poor overall lifestyle I doubt he'll live past age 60 (he is my age). I need to talk to him about his drinking but I doubt it will change anything. The best that I can do is try to tolerate him until I find a new place this summer.
Lost in Lost
To anyone who is a fan of the show "Lost" can commiserate with me. For all others, you can skip over this paragraph. This season the show is experimenting with time travel. To anyone who gets lost in its enumerable threads and plot lines the throwing in of time travel is making my head spin. Supposedly, "Lost" is in its second to last season and the show's creators will wrap up the many threads and mysteries of this most mysterious island. I'm torn. On the one hand, I never want the show to end. It is one of the most fascinating and perplexing shows ever presented on television. On the other hand, I want it to end to satisfy my craving for an explanation. I use to have a grand unifying theory behind all the mysteries of "Lost" like everyone else. I use to think that all the characters in "Lost" were all players in a virtual reality game. Now I doubt my theory. What is your theory dear reader.
