As you know, I've been experiencing some pain with my teeth. I've got an appointment with my dentist for next Wednesday. The last time I went to the dentist, and subsequently the last time I used my health insurance - was 2005.
I've been rummaging through drawers and boxes trying to find my health insurance card. I'm a little tight on cash, so by finding this card, I don't have to pay the whole account when I get to the dentist.
I found four old wallets. I don't know why I hold onto old wallets. It's something I've always done.
I found an ID card for a guy I don't know. I might have found it years ago when I was doing club/pub/festival photography.
I found a US cell number for "Victor". He was chatting me up on my first day in Los Angeles in 2008. He was the valet guy at Chilli's.
I found a business card for a store in JFK airport.
A bunch of US coins.
An address for someone in New Jersey.
And an old, and tattered Joker playing card.
Thankfully, I also found my health insurance card.
It's weird how random things in your wallet can bring back a flood of memories.
I miss LA. I miss Matty, and Vache and Greg.
I miss playing Spanish Monopoly, and eating mayonnaise and cheese sandwiches for breakfast.
I miss Mexican coke.
I miss the games at the bar.
I miss my video camera that was stolen from me at Disneyland.
I miss Enzo's gigantic fuck off sized cheese pizza, where you have to turn the box on the side a little to fit it through the front door.
I suppose I miss this little guy too. He was the best tour guide ever.
