it's early monday morning and we've just finished recording. what a weekend - i'm exhausted. I can't wait to get home tonight, so I can just go back to bed! I hope everyone had a solid weekend. our weather has been absolute shit for a couple of weeks now, and I find it's really beginning to effect my overall mood. I've been finding myself unbelievably...

TELESIS?!! HELLO?!! aren't you in toronto? i am watching the news since i dunno when and that power out is freaking crazy! i mean, just watching the pictures from up and down the east coast- it is quite surreal...the guys i'm hanging out with have forced me to let them watch something else so i am looking around the net to find live or updated info- but i hope if yu are in toronto or anywhere affected in that area that you're doin' okay....and that you got home okay... if you live there...

i understand alot about the friend possibly having anxiety issues...both because of personal experience and friend's experiences-and how usually someone (or myself) can get through tough tuff shit but sometimes get consumed into the whole cycle..and i definately know about not wanting to go to doctors who will just hand you drugs- prozac, wellbutrion, zoloft, dinomiatiazin (okay okay, i made that one up, but it sounds like kind of a fun drug to take) the whole rainbow- when i was younger i had problems with taking something that i did'nt know was going to do to my head but if your friend can find one that works-and i know how frusterating that hunt can be when you keep having to try different stuff- but if it is a chemical problem, well, it might be worth doing. the selective seratonin reuptake inhibitors (ssri's) have had the best effect on me- mainly zoloft and paxil-just in terms of keeping your thaughts from cycling and mitigating whatever little chemical mechanism is making your brain function like that (have you seen that zoloft commercial with the sad little bean-like creature bouncing along, all sad and sighing to himself- and then they sshow those little diagrams of i dunno, your syntaxes connecting with those dots going back and forth-well anyways it always makes me kind of smile when the sad little floating bean-type guy is all happy at the end of the commercial like, boucing along and this little bird comes along and is all happy that he is happy-er...anyways, your buddy's definately not alone, anxiety sucks but it does put hair on your chest....now i'm getting all sucked into this show the boys are watching about airplanes-so hey, if you are stuck in the dark- i'm sending the white light over!! smile

I also am hoping you're doing well post-blackout...and, purely by coincidence, I'm right now listening to "City of Tiny Lights"... smile

The girl situation has began to rise to a new level. I think I'm beginning to fall? I have just picked up a demo off her at work, and she literally has an absolutely beautiful voice. She writes, plays and sings all her own songs. I don't know what to say!?! I really am speechless. I will see her again Tuesday night. I'll have to...

I meet a really cool girl last Thursday night! I have now left it almost three full days. I hope she still takes my call. I have to confess when I meet here I was not totally into her physically, but once I spoke with her I was blown away! She is a very intimidating girl, and I think she might also be a better...

This has been a very stressful week! It all began with a planned trip to New York taking a turn for the worst. My boss made a surprise trip in to work from his 3 week vacation yesterday afternoon, and informed me that I couldn't have my requested time off. I had planned to leave for New York Wednesday night after work and return sometime...

bitch, you don't know nothing about hard core! hehe.

that really sucks about your jeep. and it really really sucks about new york. i love new york. i adore new york. if i could, i'd be there now. and you know, i always say not to worry, that things will work out and for the most part, i believe it, but i still think i'm the world's biggest worry wort. i overthink and overthink and worry myself sick.

oh, and i'm watching harold and maude as we speak. well, i pushed pause, but it'll be back on in a sec.

Good luck with the recording. Where is this place you get arcade games for a case of beer?

I'm selling my car at the moment cause I couldn't deal with the old car troubles any more. There was a nasty sound in the gearbox the whole two years I owned it but it never exploded or anything.

I've just starting reading this new book called "The power of now" by Eckhart Tolle. I guess you could call it some sort of "spiritual enlightenment" book?

Apparently this author had an absolute epiphany one night after waking from a bad dream. From that point on he took the next two years of his life to try and understand what it means to live life...

I haven't yet called "the girl" or should I say "woman" Hee! Anyway, tonight I'm going to Toronto to see the infamous Squarepusher! I'm really excited and have waited a long time to see this show. I wish I maybe had some SG friends in the Toronto area? I'll have to work on that. I have to go down a little early and try to...

Glanced at Bob & Doug Mackenzie items on Amazon yesterday; I'm gonna try to use "hoser" more in the upcoming weeks. I hadn't heard the Squarepusher; I always thought the name was a reference to selling blotter tabs of drugs...?
evel:
hhhmmmm....the girl, huh? just who might that be?

My new jeep has been an absolute blast! Top off, doors down, all around fun. I will post a picture up right now. It still pisses me off when I think about that rad truck I passed up.

I was out at my cousins wedding last night and had a really good time. I meet a really sweet and young looking girl there. I thought...

The Jeep has arrived and I'm really excited - very Rock and Roll! I will post some pictures when I get a chance. It has a 5.0 liter mustang engine and smells like it's leaking gas all the time. I love it.

I watched an older drama last night called "My fist mister" This movie has a lot of twists and turns, I was really...

I've just finished practicing with the band and it was fucking horrible. I was almost ashamed... I know the neighbors beside us can hear and I'm sure they were thinking "What the hell is happening to these guys?"

Our drummer has just returned from a 10 day stay at his home in Calgary. He had a really great time, but very little has been accomplished...

One of my fave recent band stories is how Grandaddy made their real album tapes, then got drunk and made some drunken, shitty-ass improv tapes and submitted them first to the label as a joke. EL SUICIDO LOCO puke miao!! biggrin

All the paper work has been complete for the Jeep. I'm still a little angry that my whole truck situation didn't work out, but this Jeep should also kick some pretty good ass! The current owner is going to drop it off Thursday night after work, so I should be able to have the ownership moved over by sometime Friday.

It seems like a very...

I have found myself feeling very lonely lately. I wish I could find something positive to help fill this constant gap. I wish I could find a way to stop bitching about my situation. My ex and I would always spend Sunday afternoons together - always.

I fucking hate Sundays. They've all been heading in the wrong direction and I usually end up drinking the...

Things seem to slowly be coming along with the Jeep. I've been dealing with a lot of extra stress lately and none of the people I have to rely on to make this deal work have been helping me!?! My loan consultant at the bank is a total asshole. He's half the problem.

While I'm trying to orchestrate this whole situation, he's telling me things...

Haha, hope you saw her. Man, I totally haven't looked in your journal all weekend...but I didn't do any SG since Sat morning...isn't Kittie from London? Ahh, anyway, hope your waitress was around and had no infections.
I was just telling vastad that plane travel is crap, and yeah, dealing with cars is crap too. I got a ticket for not changing my emissions sticker and they not only fined me but revoked my plates so I had to get new ones. How ridiculous. I imagine anything involving cars andbanks is just an annoyance!
