Just got home from The King's Speech and that was the oldest movie theatre audience I have ever sat in.
I'm in my early 30's and I was the youngest person there by thirty-some years. Nobody left when the movie was over because noone could see until they turned on the house lights. The old lady in front of me, sporting the all nylon ensemble, couldn't understand the dialog because of "the accents." IT WAS ENGLISH! QUEEN'S ENGLISH! Posh, not even cockney, I wanted to scream. I think one old man fell asleep.
Next time I'm gonna ask if the bus from the nursing home is scheduled to drop that night.
