I went through a very dark period in the late summer last year, I got very ill. During the time I was away from work I sat and binged through all three series of the Leftovers.
It was phenomenal, I haven't been so heavily impacted by a series in ages. I love it. I was very susceptible to the mood and the style of the writing, I suppose, but equally I think it's a very clever, well written piece.
What has baffled and disappointed me since is how few people have watched it. Even my friends who normally watch every HBO / Sky Atlantic drama haven't bothered.
This is criminal.
I never liked Lost but Leftovers comfortably sits in my top ten all time shows now.
Partly because of Nora, ngl.
