So!
I found a huge stack of astronomy magazines at the dump the day before my birthday. Those have been keeping me pretty busy outside of work.
I just won an e-bay auction for a Sunn Beta-Lead 2-12 combo amp. I won't even tell ya what it came to after shipping....it was such a retardedly good steal!
Also....how's this for the best news that ever... Read More
Talk about short notice....
I'm on my way now to URI to finish putting together some notes and posterboards.
If anybody wants to catch me giving an informal lecture on synchronicity, UFO's, the holographic universe theory, and Project MKULTRA, be at at the coffee house in the URI student union around 7:00. I'll probably be speaking around 8:00 P.M., but...to be safe....
I could write a post as long as The Old Testament about how there is this girl that I've adored since the moment I laid eyes on her six years ago, and how every time I try and talk to her I end up with my foot in my mouth because my brain sorta falls out and I foget how to talk, but...well, I'll settle... So I have a new little cousin named Sebastian! My dad is going to go meet him today. I am so way green with envy because I have to sling sandwiches, which is not nearly as cool as playing with babies.
Aaaawwww, and Sebastian is my favorite boys name. Like, if I ever have a kid, there very well may end up being two Sebastians... Read More
I love the name Sebastian, too. He'll be a "creative type", no doubt. With a name like that, how could he not be something extraordinary?
Yes, Azurite is most likely gone for good. Twas time, I guess. Outgrew the place (the man is 42 years old, after all) -- coupled with this rather hokey new format, I suspect. Leering at young ladies young enough to be his daughter must have become a trifle odd, as well. (Who wants to feel like Benny Hill!?! )
X was fantastic, by the way. Very tight, sonically -- and in fine physical form. I shall never tire of them...
Take care, me lad. Don't let the sandwich slingin' kill yer sweet spirit.
My band, Muffin, is looking to have a website. Niether of us knows how to make or maintain one, so if there are any webdesigners out there who would be interested, just send me a message, and let me know what your rates are. We'd def like to get one going soon.
My accordion is finally home! It's been so great having it back. I got up at eight today and have been playing accordion and smoke joints out in sun, down by the river till about twenty minutes ago.
I really really missed my baby.
Accordion! How lovely! Any plans to master a bit of an Argentine tango?
There's a dark and a troubled side of life
There's a bright and a sunny side too
Though we meet with the darknest of strife
The sunny side we also may view
Keep on the sunny side
Always on the sunny side
Keep on the sunny side of life
Sage words, Doc, but the flowers don't bloom without no rain!
PS: I find this site a tad more appealing when drunk, actually. And the new look reminds me of sloe gin fizz puked upon a champagne-colored carpet.
My head hurts.
I got the blues today.
I've got this stupid highschoolish knot of jealousy winding up all in my belly over something that...well, I just got no reason to be jealous about at all.
*Sigh*
We (that is my band Muffin) have finally updated our myspace with three new songs.
I gotta say, I'm sitting hear trying to believe that that's me on lapsteel. I'm actually kinda shocked at how good I've gotten, concidering that I've only been playing banjo for like the past four months.
speaking of, happy new year!
