I've dealt with many, many addicts in my time. It has, and will probably continue to be, one of the most difficult components of psychology for me to understand.

my father
my grandmother
my ex boyfriend (who died from a heroin ovedose)
are just a couple of the addicts ive had close to me.
its so hard to watch a beautiful person be crushed under their own weight.

elodyKat thanks for the kind words. I'm sorry you've had to watch that. It's really difficult. It's hard when you watch other people enable them too. I've seen the bad enough to know that if the situation spirals out of control, it's going to hurt people I care about. Sometimes, there is only so much you can do *shrug*
