It's been some time since I've been on SG. The main reason is that I have found a place that I could be involved with the leather community without having to prove myself. It's rather nice. I'm an active an participating member of several internet groups that have a focus on Christian BDSM. It has been a great learning experience, one that I had wished...

Strange Brew!! And Monty Python (although I like Life of Brian best, ANYthing Python rocks my bnoat)!

Yay you.

Ok. I should read your blog.

I wish there was a place that my Boy could learn a little more about BDSM. Well, both of us. I would like him to learn more about the dominant side of things. . .

Time flies...

A week ago I saw the most beautiful thing in the world. A woman on her knees offering herself completely to me. Every thought, word, deed... body, soul, and mind. I accepted the gift she has given and took her as mine. I don't think anyone could ever know the joy and wonder of having someone lay their life in your hands to...

Congratulations. It makes me long for my own dom to surrender too, but since that takes exactly what you mentioned - trust, love, and dedication - it may not happen for a while. Gosh, will you fully enjoy and use her for me and then post it here so I can live vicariously through you? I'm just kidding. tongue surreal biggrin Congratulations again. I hope that the love lasts, the trust grows, and that each of your experiences make wonderful memories that you can look back on for years and look forward to for even more. frown <sob> I think I'll go wallow in my self pity now.

I haven't updated in a while... IRL issues have kept me busy.

Back to Christianity and BDSM.

I find it interesting that so many people don't think that Christianity and BDSM work well toegether. At it's core, Christianity is an accepting religion. It teaches humility, sacrafice, and servitude. These are all traits that are in line with BDSM. Each of us must find our own...

I'm a Christian sub, and my man (who owns the Christians group) is a Christian Dom. So you're not alone in thinking that the two don't have to be exclusive. smile

*edited cuz I'm a dingleberry!

Time for the Offence to Commence!

I've been asked for this link a few times and now that I'm at my home computer I can post it. It was intended to be my first post to the BDSM group... but that will have to wait.

Here are a few links to Christian BDSM, or more accurately mostly D/s.

umm.. interesting. would have never thought of christian beliefs and bdsm matching. i'm don't believe in anything, anyway. smile but always happy to learn!

This is so great to see, because I have a friend who is going through this very dilemma: born a sub and not being able to see examples of acceptance of it in the Christian culture. Yeah. So I've got to save these things to my favorites and bring him over here sometime. frown Thanks for the info, Sirius.

Looks like this is becoming my rant page.

This week's "Sirius Issue": the BDSM group. How many hoops do you need to jump through to get in to it? I understand the desire for them... but realy. 6 months, send and email to a different account, pleading "oh, please let me in mistress!!!", and then click to join. Oh yeah, you have to be participating...

My responses to the above numbered items.

1. I am not against. I am fiercely private. Even having a journal goes against my grain. I respect that.

2. This is the one that bothers me. You ask me to come again, on bended knee and be judged by you. I have an issue with that. I don't care what the criteria is, to be judged by others is to submit to their value system. I don't. It's the way I am to define my own value and value those that are with me... be they friend or sub. Perhaps it's viewed as a personality flaw by some. Perhaps it's viewed as egotism... either way I don't care.

Any time you exclude, you demean. It doesn't matter if it is because someone has blue eyes, is right handed, has a different ethnic background... or doesn't post much. Exclusion doesn't make things exclusive. It forces people to conform.

I will resubmit after 90 days because my dedication to the material, the community, and those that are willing to place their care in to my posession is strong. I will not do so gladly.

I do want to thank you for pointing me to the Shibari group. I'm still learning my way around here and appreciate the assistance.

Sirius

You're right.

But then the irony is, to join any group is an act of conformity and opens you to judgment by others.

Join SG, and conform to their rules, if you want to stay on the site. If they judge that you've broken any, they boot you.

Join Hellfire Club, Dykes on Bikes, Boyscouts or the PTA and sure enough you have to conform or not participate, leaving yourself open to judgment from others.

Belonging can be a vicious cycle.

Just saw Ultraviolet.

Take everything I said about V for Vendetta... and reverse it.

Worst movie I've seen in a LONG time. It's the first time in years I've considered walking out of a theater before the end of the show. I thought the special effects were placeholder animations. Script was disjointed. Editing bad. Shot angles poorly thought out. Even Milla Jovovich in tight clothing...

that so sucks, i am at least glad that you had to sit through it and not me. how did this movie get so fucked up?
siriuswhite:
After some thought... there were a few good visuals. Some of the minor effects were good. Milia Jovovich looked good (liked the hair and clothing changes... like a different woman every time)... but still it was the worst movie of the year.

Ok, I didn't see Brokeback Mtn... so it might not have been the worst, but it was up there.

First... kind of fixed my name but still can't get my original one back. Grrr...

Next, just got back from V for Vendetta on IMAX with my STBX. Yes, we are and will remain friends... anyway, if there is any question about if you should see the movie....

See it.

Visual artistry, 1984 and Brave New World references throughout...

See it.

Some of it is...

Ok... looks like there will be more than one journal entry. I wonder if this will turn in to a rant fest. Perhaps I'll rant about Hotdogs in packs of 8 and buns in packs of 10? Hmm... not quite on topic... Oh, I know....

What happened with my Name? I signed up as Sirius_Black and that went through ok, but when I created my...

Ok... first (and possibly only ever) journal entry... you can't save your profile without your zip code?

Please.

Ah well... after four times filling out this damn thing all the way, I just did half. I'm tired now. My wife and I just agreed to a divorce (yeay!) so I think I'll call that a full night.
