This was written by Charles Chaplin on this 70th birthday. Brilliant. I hope someday I'm as wise and witty as he was.

"As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering
are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.
Today, I know, this is "AUTHENTICITY".

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can...

Wow...how did I miss your blog?! That was amazing. Inspiring. I needed that. wink
Thank you...the ego boost definitely did help! Made me feel good about myself. Hopefully when I get up there, things will go just as well. biggrin
How was your New Year's??
nickstone:
I agree with you fully. Arn is definitely a great european production. Every scene looks like a painting and the characters are so well developed. It's a must seen. I wish you a great day.

I've been really enjoying my Christmas break so far. The festivities with my family were lovely, my mom cooked an incredible meal and everybody was in good spirits. On top of that, it's been really cold and snowed a lot, so the whole place looks like winter wonderland. I think the last time we had a white Christmas was ten years ago. Tomorrow, I'm going...

Aww, i'm so glad you're enjoying your break! It seems we have a winter wonderland over here too....it rarely snows in NC and we got a ton yesterday...so it was a white day-after-Christmas. lol Little P had a blast playing in it. Wait until we move back! He forgets how snowy it is. lol My Dad left yesterday for Jersey and instead of taking 12 hours, it took him 21!!! The snow from here all the was terrible. He drove in a blizzard...Jersey got like 16 inches or something. We have great timing. lol
Sounds like mom made a good dinner, that's awesome. Mine was icky, my Sister can't cook. hahaha I didn't tell her though. lol
I hope your goddaughter loves her present!
Merry Christmas! xoxoxo

Today's blog is dedicated to Mr. Mister. Yes, the 80's icons with such hits as "Kyrie" and "Broken Wings". They recored an album in 1989 called "Pull" that was shelved by RCA Records at the time for being too artsy. 21 years later, it finally got a release. And what a monster of a record it is! It proves that they were so much more...

We had a huge presentation for a big phone provider at work today. The past week has been incredibly busy and we worked late almost every day. Last night, of course, we stayed at the agency until 1:30 am. These late nights are the worst, you feverishly try to finish everything and no matter how well you plan everything, it always takes longer than expected....

I received a nice fat bonus at work yesterday. It's so great to see how things are paying off again after a couple of really difficult years. In fact, it's been quite an amazing year and I just know that next year will be even better. It's also amazing to see how certain things worked out exactly the way I envisioned them. This is also...

Thank you, I am going to try and think the way you do. I AM moving to Jersey. wink Forget hoping and wishing, it's not working for me. I should pack my bags come January 1st and stand by the door. lol
Congrats on the bonus. I agree that the past couple of years have been hard....what a crazy time. I am still trying to crawl out of the hole I am in.
I am glad you are doing so well, you sound so happy. wink xoxo

My four year-old goddaugther is the first woman who proposed to me. Yes, I was babysitting her Saturday night and she popped the question after I read her FOUR bedtime stories AND one that wasn't from a book, i.e. I had to make one up. I told her, kid, you don't want to marry me... wink It seems children are growing up so much faster theses...

OK, so I realized that I need reading glasses. Like pronto. Yes, I have officially entered the geezer stage of my life. eeek This sucks because I had like 20/20 vision in my younger years. Let's see what the eye doc says. I'll probably get those Woody Allen-type thingies.

Here's another awesome pop tune and a favorite for the past few months. These guys are getting...

I've had a pretty intense dream last night - the problem is, I can't remember anything. It's too weird, I can never or hardly ever recall my dreams. I have no idea why that is. I know people who could tell me about their dreams every day. When I was a kid, I had quite a few recurring dreams. The were mostly nightmares though involving...

I realized, only a bit more than a month until Christmas. It seems this year just flew by. These will be my first worry-free holidays in a few years - nice! The year didn't start out so well but turned into a pretty good one. But I'm getting ahead of myself here... smile

So Sarah Palin is considering running against Obama in a couple of years....

I'm sure it feels nice to have a stress-free holiday season....Lord knows I wish I could go to sleep today and then wake up January 1st. lol I will be hoping 2011 is a good one for me. lol
Sarah Palin...good grief. Do you keep up with Dancing With The Stars at all? Her daughter is on there and not very good, bless her heart. She is a sweetie and everyone loves her but she is a horrid dancer and dancers that are awesome are getting kicked off and she is staying. People are pissed lol. They say there is some "Operation Bristol" going on. Hilarious. lol
I need to listen to the song. I need some new music. I am not feeling anything good for some reason.

HAHAHA Bear Wrestling...now if you didn't see the Sarah Palin special about the freaking bears, then you have some serious ESP. lol

Over the past few months I slowly created a string of weekly events, little routines if you will, that bring me joy. It's mostly stuff I do by myself and for myself. Mondays nights, for instance, it's DVD night when I watch my favorite TV shows. Tuesdays I'm going to the gym. Thursdays I go the lobby restaurant at the Park Hyatt next door for...

I love reading anything you write to me. You are always so insightful and I know before reading that something poignant will be said.
I think I will get myself a notebook and attempt some of that tonight. It sounds very difficult, but definitely something that I need. I am angry at myself, I didn't even realize it until a little while ago during the screaming match my mother and I (well SHE lol) were having, when she said that I am hurting myself because I am so mad at myself and she doesn't know why.
As for happiness coming from me, I feel like I will never learn it. All of your negative beliefs are the same as mine, plus i'm sure another hundred or so. lol And I do need encouragement everyday. Instead of being supported over here, she just gets mad at me for feeling this way because she says I am the only one who can change it. So that just pushes me further into it, but she doesn't get it. Oh well, I will try your suggestions, which, by the way, were in no way ramblings! I love to read your words. And yes, please let me know who taught you this. She sounds wonderful.
And thank you for having such a big heart. xoxo
