Lately I have been obssessed with both the book and the movie "Atonement" my Ian McEwan. That Brit can write! Plus, I am a sucker for women with British accents, and Keira Knightly is easy on the eyes, and the movie is just a blast to watch. (Sorry Sarah Garcia...I actually like her mouth, especially when she smokes) The book also builds suspense just as well and I think it is remarkable how each can stand alone and each works well for totally different reasons. That is rare for the whole book/movie thing.
Also, there is history in it. One thing I can't stand. Briony. She is the antagonist (I think, English majors, help me out here). Ugh! I want to slap her, and I am not a very violent person. It brings up the most important question of all. Why can't others be happy for others who are in love? Why can't we just support other people's love, even though it might sink like the Titanic and crash into a million tiny pieces? Didn't Shakesphere (or some other dead English guy) say "it is is better to love and lost than never to have loved at all?" (Remember folks I quit English for History) I for one love to support others in their love, even if I don't think they have a chance in Hell. Why? I am not sure. Maybe its in the hope that others will support me in the same way, even when I don't know what I am doing.
Why do dogs choose you? For example, our Standard Poodle, Jessie. She thinks the world of me, even though I don't spend the whole day with her, like Rachel does. Do I smell better? Its not food, I don't sneak her anything. Is it because I wrestle with her? The day I understand animal behavior is the day I get my own TV show. Shhht!
Well, I am spent. Another day, another dollar, that's what I always say. Especially if you work at the local strip club.
Good night, unless you are reading this during the day, then Good Morning or Good afternoon, but most importantly just be good.
