I do wish I could sleep in some days, but to be honest I like getting up early...easing into the day watching the sun slowly rise and having some peace and quiet to myself. I get to think and relax and of course...enjoy this community and its beauty (physical and inclusivity).
The past week has been a rollercoaster for a lot of reasons, being so close to the US we Canucks were closely watching the election and its results...a complete shocker to be honest....but thankfully it is over and somehow some way there is some stability to move forward.
Of course this Friday was Remembrance Day, a very tough day....now that I have retired it feels very different putting on medals to stand in a crowd, being thanked for my service... there was a sense of anonymity when I was in uniform (odd to think of it that way as we wear name tags) but maybe it was the safety in numbers mentality. Either way, it is tough as I have too many friends who have been taken from this Earth far too soon... thinking of them...
Then there is the fun side of things that have been ongoing, my partner and I have been exploring 'the lifestyle' (really need a better term) ... and have been closer than ever physically and emotionally... we still have our issues like every couple does, but when we have fun, it is pretty damned awesome. The only trouble is...the fun is damn addicting...lol.
The fall season is certainly upon us, the leaves are almost all gone from the trees, the days are much much shorter, and the air is getting cooler by the day...soon that four letter s-word will be flying around....yeesh.
Well enough rambling on for no good reason... hope everyone has an awesome weekend.
