Attention Chicago peopleeee!
...and people who will be in Chicago at the end of February!
My band, de Triomphe, is playing a show at Subterranean on Friday, February 22nd. We're opening for my boyfriend's band, Make Believe, and also playing with a band from MN called Singer.
The show is all ages and it's $8!
It's going to be so much fun; we are incredibly excited and I promise you you won't be wishing you shot yourself in the head instead of coming to my show.
You can check out my band at myspace.com/detriomphe
I do a terrible job of trying to tell people what my band sounds like so if you have a second just click over and make your own assessment...we've gotten everything from "Nirvana on speed" to "a crappy Mars Volta" to "totally Zappa man...and I love Zappa!"
One thing I can guarantee you though is that we don't suck.
I'll post the flyer once my brother makes it (he is the singer-screamer-weird noise maker/guitar player/mastermind behind de Triomphe.)

as for the accepted protocol on replying to comments and such, i think you've got it down. yeah, usually one comments back in the other person's journal comments - even if it has nothing to do with the journal itself. Testimonials are more, like, places to write why you dig somebody or something, i think.
What were you doing at Macy's?
