I bought some really pretty hand-dyed yarn for mittens. I had it in my head I wanted matching mittens, scarf and hat. Which seems way ridiculous and over the top, but I don't care. The color is black with bits of burgundy mixed in. And I found a skein of Manos Del Uruguay in the same burgundy for the hat. Too bad its been way to hot to even handle my wool yarns, yet alone knit with them!

I want cold...right now!

Oh no I absolutely detest mosquitoes. One Summer's evening I had to stay in an old Victorian hotel room with a very high ceiling in Richmond when they visited me - about 60 of the b*stards. I got not one wink of sleep and even tried sleeping in the bathtub. I squished them all in the end
