Thank you for the amazing comment on my set and I LOVED the link to the song by Robert Johnson. I'm a big country and blues fan so it was nice to hear something I hadn't stumbled across before! Xx

Another footnote @_kettle: the term "kitchen" in early blues recordings has connotations of both a warm safe place, and the comfort of a good woman. Several of Robert Johnson's records, as well as what's referred to as American Piedmont Blues style figured heavily in Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and early Rolling Stones recordings. Muddy Waters and Kansas Joe McCoy are among the most popular bluesmen who carried on Robert's tradition, into the 1940's and beyond, after his tragic early death left us with only 39 known recordings. If you listen closely to them you will swear hearing multiple guitar players...Nope! It's their unique style of "claw hammer" picking! I saw Muddy Waters play a set at Baltimore's defunct Marble Bar in 1973. That sealed my love of this style for life!

I've got a few friends that play bluegrass music and it's absolutely amazing. I love it!
