This presidential race is kind of stressful, no? I can't imagine what it is like for the candidates themselves, with the election only being a month away. But it's an important one. This will be the first presidential election that I will have voted in, so I guess it's kind of strange to be a part of one of those things that, as a kid,...

I really hope that the general population looks beyond selfish desires and know that a little sacrifice from all will make a huge difference. No one (as a nation) has been asked to give up anything since WWII, and back then everyone rationed and sacrificed so the nation as a whole would prosper.

Saying this, i really hope my choice makes it into office.

and thanks for the words of encouragement. no word on things yet, but hopefully I'll hear something early next week.
remyx:
still no word. but I'm a patient man.

btw, the MSI show was excellent. too bad you couldn't make the Memphis one.

I recently got in a few "Refer a Friend" coupon things from Netflix giving each recipient a 1 month free trial. If anyone is interested, I'll send you the coupon code and you'll be able to sign up.
remyx:
thanks for the well-wishes. I'm incredibly on edge about the whole thing. Tomorrow I've got a job interview. I'm trying to line something up before leaving my current job.

I'll be so happy when the serenity portion of this transaction happens.

This venue has more amazing shows in the next couple months than we've had in this whole region in the last year. It's pretty depressing. frown
khorsaun:
You know, I'm not much for live shows and music, but you're right....it's really fucking depressing!!
The stagnation and lack of variety we have around here is ridiculous.

You know, I think I'm a very nostalgic person. I like to remininisce about days gone by pretty often. Usually this would be the days I came home after school to watch Nickelodeon. I'm confident that I was able to experience the golden age of kid's programming. Nickelodeon at that time was really something special. So many shows were just so unique, and interesting, and...

Haven't posted in a while. Just thought I'd check in. Classes have been going well. Working a bit less because of my class hours, which is good because that means I have more time to do homework. Glad I feel like I'm getting a little more done in regards to where I'll end up in 20 years than I've been able to in the last...

I know what you mean. That's why I don't post much. Just not much going one with even less to say.
I keep saying I'll update with more later, but then I go into procrastination mode. And then I can't think of anything to say. Oh well.

Long time since I've posted. Going to see Paramore Tuesday which will be a awesome. My mom had her defibrillator replaced, which will be beneficial but surgery is always scary. My sister (37) broke up with her ex-"baby daddy." I hate that term but it's what it is. And turns out he's a psycho, and has threatened to kill her, and has written letters to...

wow, that's some fucked up sub-human right there. this is when vigilante justice should come into full effect. Where's a masked do-gooder to make this guy reassess his way of approaching the world and your family? I wish for the best for you and yours. The police surely need to intensify their efforts. blackeyed

Saw Indiana Jones 4 tonight. Pretty good movie. Maybe it was just me, but some of the sets looked fake. I don't know if they were supposed to look a little artifical, but I didn't care much for it. Also, the sound effects for the action scenes, like punching and kicking, seemed a bit over the top. Like they were comedic in nature. Kind of...

hey, thanks! fortunately, it was breezy and about 10 degrees cooler there than it usually is here. That really made a difference in not getting worn down so quickly. I'm just hoping that the weather is half as good in two weeks.
khorsaun:
Yeah...I don't answer the phone either...but I'm cursed with a guilty conscience and a sense of duty, and when I see their number on the caller ID, I always end up going in anyway. mad

Does'nt matter though...they never called that day anyway...I was frustrating myself over nothing as it turns out. LOL! biggrin
Thanks.

This video is hilariously bad, but also of the strangely addicting variety:

Enjoy.

I have to agree...it is very awful...and yet very alluring. surreal
Of course, anything with strippers dancing around in schoolgirl mini-uniforms is going to be like that, right? biggrin biggrin biggrin

HI, guys. I'd been toying with the idea to resub here for a little while to see what's been new, and finally decided to take the plunge. Things are quite a bit different, huh? I guess SG never stops at changing the user interface around!

What have my old friends been up to? Any momentous occasions? Any conquests of new and uncharted countries? Give me...

DUDE!!! Welcome back, Bro! Glad to see you've returned.
Not much new with me (may have a possible new GF...but I'm still trying to figure out just exactly what she wants from me.)
As for SG...not much new there either. Least, none that I can tell. Same old dramas and such. New SG's coming, old ones leaving, some even coming back. And of course, the constant state of change it seems to be in.
And don't be embarassed by your car. At least it runs and gets you where you need to go....and it's not a Prius! wink
Well, Good Luck with school, and once again, Welcme Back! biggrin
remyx:
Hey!! good to see ya again! Yeah, the user interface changed just about 2 weeks ago... again.

biggrin

Besides the fact that MapQuest sucks, Southaven sucks, and the hour-long standstill in the parking lot afterwards (plus maybe a few more), Tool was a magical experience. I thank them for coming to the mid-South and giving me the chance to see them for the first time. I was teary-eyed during a few songs because I couldn't believe it was really happening. Even though nearly...
