Dive bars, and speakeasies and casinos, oh my! I went to Bethlhem yesterday to hang out with Mike. We went to a dive bar - forget the name - that allows cigars. Bloody difficult to find such places lately. Well, we got there and man did we get an eyeful from the locals! The bartender was nice though, and as we lit up she told us that one of the local chicks - none too smart - asked her why we had smiley face "purses". Um, those are cigar shop bags, toots! But I understand why we got such odd looks. One of the drunker of the patrons started giving us shit about etiquette and how we should share our cigars. We laughed him off and he lit up a swisher sweet. Ugh.
Then it was off to the Book Shop, which is a rendition of a speakeasy and I think may have been one back in the Prohibition days. Low light, low ceilings, nice folks. Definitely going back there for dinner sometime.
Then it was the Sands. I don't gamble but we ate at the Irish Pub and then sat in the cheesy lounge and smoked cigars and watched the free music...and the parade of gamblers. That place always has a flow of people!
It was a good night overall!

I was wondering what that was all about - nice to have a blog to read again, the FB posts just don't cut it some times (also, SG is unlikely to attempt to sell your personal information to every Tom, Dick, and Harry on the web.)

It's nice to blog again. Get the thoughts out there. Now, it would also be nice if people read it, but give it time. Which reminds me, I need to go read some blogs.....
