Halloween Baking Adventure:
The first thing that I did this morning after the normal blah blah blah boring morning routine was bake cupcakes.
However, these are not your ordinary-run-of-the-mill type of cupcakes. To start off with, I made chocolate brownie cupcakes (from scratch mind you, this is because the rule in my house with my housemates is that all the baking that we do must be done from scratch, no more packaged mix cakes for us!).
I made the mistake of trying out the batter for the cupcakes before I had put any sugar in it, so the batter that I thought was a wonderful idea to try was melted unsweeted chocoalte and unsalted butter... blugh.
These cupcakes shall fall under the category of Halloween themed because they were baked in Halloween cupcake holders, and the housemates and I have since decorated the cupcakes with icing designs that include: spiderwebs.
Then unfortunately, after watching the remake of the Crazies (and not doing any homework like I was supposed to do), I had to go to my political philosophy lecture.
Got back from lecture to all my housemates and my roommate from first year at our kitchen table, and it was baking time once again.
This time round we made (by which I mean: I made) green vanilla cupcakes.
We really didn't know how we would decorate these guys. The idea that eventually came out while they were in the oven was to make them into Frankenstein.
Instead, once we started to decorate them, they became Frankenstein boobs because they were green and boobs are awesome.
