i've been gigging or doing sound almost every week for the past 2 months.
Next is a fundraiser at the Wonder Ballroom here in PDX on the 26th with Dead Prez, Umi, Cool Nuts, my group Hungry Mob, and a shit load of other cats to raise money to get computers to poor kids in Africa. All ages, 7PM. (find it on my myspace page)
Then i fly back to NYC for a week. I have a show there too.
Then i get back to PDX and who knows. I hate free time. There's only so much longer i can do this 'day job' thing before i need to rely on music to pay my bills again. I did in New Orleans. I should be able to do it here in PDX, except Portland is a bottomless pit of wannabe anti-rockstars working day jobs and pretending to be musicians at night.
My resume might be too good for this town? I need some merch. O.P.M. is lacking.

I just went on a dowload fest and got many great songs that i've been forced to listen to solely in my memory. Either they were songs i had on tape, scratched CD, or just didn't have for some unforseen reason....
The Temptations.
Bessie Smith
Kansas "Carry on my Wayward Son"
Sade
Aretha
Etta James
Peggy Lee's "Fever"
Martha and the Vandellas "heatwave"
Gladys Knight and the Pips
And one of the few humans who can bring me to tears, Otis Redding.
