Yesterday was my day off and I was active. I practiced riding my bike to work, a 14 mile round trip, and made better time than I expected. The trip to took 40 minutes while the return trip took just over 30. I fully expected an hour each way. With gas prices at $4.25 a gallon here in Indiana, biking may have to be the way to go over the summer. If that holds true, if I raise enoughj money for my diabetes ride, I will make the ride in just around 8 hours.
Sadly, today is a realization that my pup Bosco, is no longer a pup. He is not walking as well as he was even a month ago. He hurts all the time and has trouble standing. It hurts me to see him in such pain. Last night, over the course of teh night, he cried out twice. It breaks my heart. I am taking him to the vet tomorrow and I am to be honest so scared of what the vet may say. I am not ready for my little boy to be old. He is by human standards 13 years old, but over the winter, was playing and running with his bear as if he was still a puppy. If this ends up being something serious, I dont really know how I can cope.
I have made a little progress with my Breast Cancer walk. Two people have been kind and generous enough to donate, and for that I am eternally grateful. And aunt and an SG member Blk_Dynamite have both shown their hearts and donated. You two are true blessings and I hope to be able to walk my 180 miles in your honor as well as honoring the memory of my passed Grandmother. If anyone would like to look into seeing about the 3day events, here is my home page: http://www.the3day.org/goto/fordorothy. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend planned. Enjoy the sun and beautiful weather. Yours, Jonathan
