OK, I guess I was bitter after the BattleBots assmonkeys sued over the 2002 Superbowl BotBash Budweiser RoboBash commercial, I mean who did the a-hole Trey Roski think he was sueing over OUR creative property, I mean he stole the BBots format from BotBash in the first place, sorry I didn't have a trust fund to push it to TV, but I guess he got his in the end, in case you ever wondered why combat bots weren't on TV anymore.
So my buddy Jon from Mechwars in Minn called me Mid 2007 and said he had a contract for the SC State fair and wanted me to help him out. The MARCA (Mobile Automated Robot Combat Arena) had been sitting for a few years, but I figured I had some new ideas for putting it back in the public, so I spent a couple hell bent weeks getting it preped, I thought SC State was a great success, one of the biggest shows of the fair, and we filled a roll off dumpster full of kitchen appliance shrapnel, but we had problems with the SC admin, no worries, didn't want to go back to that fair anyways, talk about a long distance event shipping 50K lbs worth of weight....
Look for us in 2008 at the Iowa State Fair and a few more to be announced soon, I'm excited about robot events again, maybe all the way back to TV.... stay tuned
