man we've been spoiled so far this season. It's another beautiful day here and it has been for what seems like weeks now. Anita and I are about to take Morgan down to the beach, maybe that spycam will capture our little adventure.

(if you click on that above link on any other day than today, december 17th, you could very well get a completely...

Called the soon to be new landlord yesterday.

The family that is moving out of the suite that I am moving in to have apparently bought a house. The landlord had mentioned that there may be some chance of them leaving the suite before the end of the month.

Ok, makes sense to me. If I bought a new house, I would certainly want to...

I am the saver of the tree!
.

oh wait. I suppose if I really look at this realistically,
If I looked at this from the point of view of the tree, it would probably think that I was the saver of the tree if it was still out there somewhere in the forest, holding up squirrels and loving the feel of the sap flow...

Oh that Morgan, he must just recommend these things as a joke, because I'm sure his taste in movies isn't really bad.

the ballet was wonderful. i love thighs. that in and of itself is reason to go to the ballet. blush

i love live theatre, dance etc. people do amazing things and i go to celebrate that. i find myself learning lessons in humility that are joyous to understand.

i recommend going. i get cheap tickets when the on site box office opens, or i go to "preview" night.

HA!

falling firmly into the "seemed like a good idea at the time" category:

Leaving a great dane alone in the apartment with a newly decorated christmas tree...

I don't think he MEANT to thrash it... probably just knocked it over somehow, at which point it landed on his bed, so he simply slept on it all afternoon.

Most of the new decorations we bought,...

forgot my cellphone in a cab this morning.

Didnt' even realize I'd left it, or had it out. Nonetheless, by noon it was reported missing and the cab company called my office to let them know where it was.

I decided to walk the trip from Main st to Granville Isle to pick it up.
It was dark, yet clear, and I could do the...

i'm thinking that tree will make some fine stools for my deck.

it's probably neither good nor bad - it's just a thing, one of those vocal ticks people do sometimes.

I mostly go for the underdog.

So in the thick of the fog yesterday afternoon, as we drove out to the treelot, and were drooling over the $65.00 - 90.00 beauties, we stumbled across this poor little corner of "natural fir" they called it.

Couldn't resist. This little 6' beauty was only $12.99, and I felt so sad for it.

Had to bring her home...

The Charlie Brown Xmas trees always call to me, too. My family thinks I'm crazy dragging home the abused trees, but they have so much, er, character!
rodan:
Well cool - that's so much more better than the prelit Target special I've got downstairs in a box....

Thank you everybody for your thoughts and words. As anonymous as a lot of us are to eachother on here (in the sense that weve never actually met face to face) it still means a lot, and I swear the friendships Ive discovered here surpass some of the friendships Ive had in real and local life in the past when you see the person face...

aw shit.

Just got home from the vet. That tumor in Morgan's mouth probably sprouted up in the last couple of weeks. Apparently they're quite aggressive like that.
It's cancer.

"just make him happy and comfortable".

you always know it's comin, but you can't ever really prepare for it.
The fact that he's a 12 year old Great Dane is already enough of a shocker....

enjoy and love him just as you do each day... you will both be on my mind.

having a pal for as long as you have is such a joy. friends like that are cherished.

I love my dogs...the ones who have gone and the one who remains.

dogs are special kind of beast.

I really had no idea. Like, really. Not a clue.

Sure, I figured that in time, once Id moved outta here, and finally got my ass settled in a new place, that eventually I would start to see things a bit differently, get a bit more boing re-bent into my flattening arches -- that whole spring in the step thing.
But I figured that spring...

nice place, I love that wall unit in the dining room
wheezy_e:
That place kicks ass. There is nothing like that here in Vegas, or nearly nothing at least. Probably 3/4 of all the buildings have been built in the last 25 years, I'd say half in the last ten. Everything is new, boring, and disposable. That's pretty funny about Sarina. I googled something once (my own name maybe?) and was disturbed to find a link to my SG page way up there. shocked
