It can be quite frustrating when people let you down. You make plans around them and then you are left high and dry. UGH. Well, I have learned a valuable lesson. I have tried to shed my cynical asshole persona, but I can feel it creeping to the surface. Well, I've often been told that you can only do what you know how to do well.
So, in order to warm up the asshole inside me I am going to rant.
::rant on::
Over the years I have worked at a video store or two. This has been mostly by choice and not by lack of ability to get a better job. I worked full time at a luxury hotel once for the money, but still worked part time at a video store just because I liked it. What pisses me more than anything else is people who will not see a foreign film because they don't want to read the subtitles. If you come up to me and ask me what a good movie is and I recommend something like City of God or Life is Beautiful, don't fucking roll your eyes at me and say you don't like foreign films. If you don't like it, then don't ask my fucking opinion.
But there are people that are even worse then the anti-foreign film brigade (yeah I call them a brigade). These are the people who do not want to rent anything off of the new release wall. The new release wall will have roughly 5% quality on it at any given time. There are far more options in the older release section that are just as good if not better than anything you can find on the new release wall. These people think anything before 2000 is an "old" movie, and they equate the word 'old' with 'bad'.
Some people need to wake the fuck up and realize that there is culture outside there little self constructed world and experience some of it. How do you know if you don't like something if you never try it?
::end rant::
Yes, I like to rant about pointless things

Opossums are calm most of the time, you can pick them up without gloves if you know how. Most animals are like that, but you just have to know what you're doing.
Except adult raccoons, they hate being trapped, cornered. The little bitches bite hard even with bite gloves on.
