I think it'll be a good time...i'll be bartending at a nice-ish Italian restaurant. I haven't quite got my finger on the manager yet--he's a man of few words, and I'm not certain whether it's because he's a hardass or if he's just shy. But I love Italian food, so if nothing else, my belly will be happy.

Get some rest. And send me you addy. And let me know if you're having trouble with computery things. smile

what a lovely story. I am waiting for that day (not a complaint, we (the gentleman friend and I) did go to Victoria's Secret together one day but I ended up picking everything out and paying for it. Also not a complaint. I wanted to pay for it. But a surprise would be nice. ) blush

I have a Cold/Flu something, and my throat is both sore and dry.

Two dead Yank hostages. A brit apparently due to die this monday.

Man United beat liverpool at football, 2-1.

Thats my day. I hate the Flu.

I plan to milk the shit out of still being in my twenties. I think I might even be one of those people who still do wierd shit to their hair all their lives. At least you'll never catch me in a belly shirt. wink

Since I have a monopoly on your journal comments, you must be my friend.

Re: Re: Hair

Who said that to you? Next time, more punchy, less changing thyself. wink

People always View the 50's as the height of Bacwardsness, and that the years prior were stagnent, Boring places.

Thats really not true you know.

I can't speak for the US, but Europe was more laid back, more Liberal and less prudish in the 1910's than it is now.

The problem, I suppose relates to media. There was no Media to reflect the opinions and...

If you're correct in believing there was no media to reflect the views of the masses in the 1910s, how can you say with any certainty that they were more laid back and less prudish?
peter_piper:
Ophelia,

Ahhh.. that is because of what we do have. for examples we have the 1920's, the post world war 1 age when the the godless brazen-ness of the proles became intolerable for the British Royals.
We have Accounts of the 'uneducated' areas written by professors and scholars who tell of large amounts of drinking and Sex.

There is actually loads of information on this, but no Televison pictures to show it.

Of course, as well, there was the Bohemian area in France. smile
