That was a fun couple of days. The only one who really did much better than I expected was Dr. Ben Carson, who may be angling for a VP position, or maybe another elected position. He is not really poised for a presidential run. I do not happen to think that Rand Paul really wants it right now. Ted Cruz gave a great speech, but I still think he was born in Canada.
I could have hoped for something better from Bobby Jindal, he just well, but not well enough. He does not generate the necessary excitement. As governor of Louisiana, I am sure he knows some amazing hot sauce. I doubt he could find one hotter than Sarah Palin's speech.
Just wandering around, at Megan's side, deciding which workshops we would go to (if any), was fun. There ware some unofficial GOPride sessions, and Megan went to all of them. Megan did not broadcast this, but, if it came up to "which workshop did you go to?" she was open with it, judiciously. Specifically, women younger than us. They seemed genuinely interested. After she had proven her authenticity.
One great thing is that, each year, the women at CPAC get hotter. With Megan, further, I can point this out without worry about any jealousy. To be fair, I can do this with Aisha as well, but Megan will not try to pick one up. With Aisha, there is never a guarantee that she will not.
No Reagan Dinner for me this year.
