After just two months this lady I was seeing and I are no more going out. We had some good times and I thought we were a pretty good match, but there are definitely issues we both have that do not make us such a good pair after all. She's still bitter about her divorce and I have med school to deal with. I think...

second guessing on tests always gets me into trouble. massive amounts of trouble that end with me kicking myself in the ass. blackeyed

Yeah, Buddy! I passed my first pin test in anatomy this quarter! Wooohoo!

Granted this is only the first week, but at the moment things are looking on the up and up.

Five more to go! I hope I can hang in there without chokin'!

Have a great weekend. I'm thinking that I will.

anticlimatic200:
Congrats!

I failed my first ever quiz when I started post secondary. Haha! I guess it was an indication of where my university career was going to end up. Granted, I failed my first quiz at technical school too, but I'm doing so much better there.
disdain:
i'm not really one to let these sorts of things get me down. if anything, it's motivation to work my ass off and ace that class... and going in to the situation semi-aware of her style will help me prepare for that. so yeah, the glass is always half full.
good job on that test. the first few weeks are always the most important. its when your prof is forming an opinion of you, if he/she regards you highly, he/she will be more likely to work with you later on in the term. so, WOOHOO for passing the first test! biggrin

This weekend I spent a lot of time with a lady I was seeing. We went to the Bumbershoot music and arts festival on Saturday and to her old neighborhood on Bainbridge Is. to a bbq last night. She is recently divorced and as it turns out still really bitter about it. She misses her old friends from the island and it seemed to hit...

Now that I'm learning to be a professional, I've gotta act like one, so I had to remove my fotos and be a bit more cautious. Can't have a future patient recognize me from here. I may decide I've got to leave this site altogether, but not just yet. I never have time to spend here anyway, but I think I've got a few months...

I'm back from a week with family. It was great being with my daughter and nephew again. I sure miss them. I'm rather depressed about them being so far away, but I realize there's not much I can do about it and that this too will pass. It just still sucks.

I'm working my final week at HMC. Next week is orientation and I'm pretty...

I'm obsessed with one song, by Leonard Cohen, called Hallelujah. It's such a great song. A masterpiece perhaps. I really like k.d. lang's version, but Jeff Buckley's and Rufus Wainwright's are pretty amazing as well.

Hallelujah! I love it. Wikipedia does a pretty good job describing it's origin and meanings, but I want to find out more about the song and it's different variations. Check...

Great song. I like Buckley's best by far. There is a version on the movie "Shrek", but I hate how the guy rhymes "hallelujah" with "do you" instead of "do ya"... It just bugs me.

Yea! One job down, three to go! I'm out of a job which means more time for me! But not much. I'm still pretty damn busy. But! Next week I'll go on vacation to SUNNY HOT OKLAHOMA! Yee-haw! Bible Belt Center. Oh yeah. Rednecks GALORE! And that's where my (adopted) family chooses to live. Yup.

My daugther is gonna meet me there and we're gonna...

Ahh. Yesterday was great. I didn't have to work but for a couple of hours and so I ventured out and about to take in a couple of festivals: the Central Community and the Bite of Seattle. Both were groovy. I got a lot of sun, despite putting on some sunscreen. My back is toast. After the Bite I went to Matthews and went swimming...

Thanks for that comment. I'm hoping that he's peeing so much because his body is trying to cleanse it self. I've stopped giving him the steroids and now he's only on the one prescribed drug to control his immune system. Hopefully the homeopathic stuff arrives soon. It's supposed to support his whole system instead of just fighting the one problem.
Sounds like you are having a good summer. And I'm with you on the great feeling of not wearing too much clothes. I love the feeling of the outside air on my skin. smile
